The wiper linkages on the scorpio are the same as on the granada and second hand ones seem to wear quickly and new ones are only a few £'s

Before you fit the new one, clean the balls with fine wet and dry to get rid of any rust, that would wear the new socket in no time. Fit with plenty of grease.
