Retention clip for rear view mirror

Bit of a long shot but does anyone have a retention clip for a rear view mirror? My dad managed to lose it (I know!) whilst borrowing my car.

Glyn. I guess he means the spring type clip that is, or should be , attached to the inside of the mirror stem so that it locks and locates when you slide it up on to the mirror mount on the screen.

My garage is worse- took me a whole day just to dig out my MG for it's MOT -decided to sell it now as it only comes out once a year for it's MOT. Hope the mirror isn't in the garage !
