Battery Tray and clamp

The battery tray on my Scorpio has rotted away nicely such that it is no longer possible to secure the battery. I've been in touch with Ford and they are unable to supply the part at all. I realise the battery tray is spot welded to the car but still wondering if anyone has a car they could retrieve one from? Thanks, David

Try calling these guys : http://www.turbobreakers.com/ They list a battery tray for a Sierra which might do the job Seem to recall the battery tray from the Sierra was also used on the Mk3 Granada so a good chance Ford couldn't be bothered to make a new one for the Scorpio. Hope you have some decent metal underneath to weld it to or maybe nuts & bolts might be sufficient ?

Thanks for the suggestions gents, I think the sierra tray looks possible. Failing that I've warned the body shop chap he may need to fabricate or patch what is left
