Any idea where i can get a boot carpet , stupidly left a bottle of oil in the boot not done up properly . Must have tipped over , and it leaked everywhere . Tried everything to clean it but no luck , it stinks . Even worse when the suns been beating down on it for few hours , luckily that doesnt happen very often i even thought about making one out of a bit of carpet , but i like my car to be original ( yep im a fussy so and so ) Thank in advance Rich

Rich, see if there is a car trimmer in your area. They usually have a variety of such materials. Failing that a breaker?.

You will be lucky to find a Mk3 Granada these days in a scrappy, luckier still to find one with a decent boot carpet. I'd be tempted to use neat washing up liquid, work it in with a nail brush and then hose it clean. I'm sure I've seen scented washing up liquid which might help to control any residual odour. Your local launderette might get a bit shirty with you if you try and wash it in one of their machines...

Well its seems my mates mumbo jumbo worked !!!! Washing up liquid rubbed into it with a stiff brush , cat litter again rubbed into it , let dry ,hoovered and hoovered again little spray of febreeze and bingo . Nice smelling carpet . Oh also worth remembering to clean the spare wheel area too , bloody oil gets everywhere
