A couple of points...If the sun roof was 'stuck/seized' then it is virtually certain that you will strip the nylon drive gear. I lubricated my sun roof joints and sliders every six months to avoid this (and I had no probs). It is a good idea to get hold of one of the manual handles used on the sun roofs of the Mk3. If the roof sticks you can then always wind it shut with the handle. HTH. BrianH
