Has anybody got a couple of Cats for my Ultima Estate? If so I would like to relieve you of them. My car is a 1996 N reg. In hopes Mike

| I've not used them before but you could contact them to check if you are unsure about anything. Obviously these are pattern parts at that price but they have a 2-yr warranty - I'm sure lots of people have bought and used the products without any issues. Mike.

Thanks Mike. I will give them a buzz. The 2 year warranty is very reassuring. Mike

Mike, I've bough from Mr Auto never been a problem. Recently bought an exhaust flexi pipe from them - same brand it was fine. I bought a cat of the same brand but from someone else, obviously not as chunky as a genuine Ford one but been on the car for just over 2 years & still looks in good shape. I’ve heard people having problems with alignment of the middle bracket on the 2.9 (don't know what brand of pattern cat). It didn’t line up on my 2.3 but the bracket is fairly soft & wasn’t too hard to realign. I don’t know if the 2.9 is the same but on the 2.3 the bracket on the bell housing has slotted holes to allow adjustment (on the bell housing), after final tightening of the cat to the manifold it’s best to slacken the middle bracket bolts & the 2 bell housing bolts to get it to align nicely to avoid putting strain on the manifold.
