Not sure what category to put this post in but I’ll start here. Sorry guys I find this hard to admit but following several unsolved faults, yet 8 faithful years, I have part exchanged my M reg, 2.9/12v Ultima Saloon (Aubergine), as it was going to be costly to get it through another MOT, for an Audi A6 Quattro 2.8. Already I’m missing it & not sure if I’ve done the right thing. I managed to get £900 off the asking price of the Quattro (officially the trader gave me £500 for my Scorp and I haggled a further £400 discount. He sells 5 cars a day & I buy one car every 8 years so not too bad!). He now has it up for sale at £1495.00 in auto trader but has £1999.00 in it’s window on his forecourt north London. If any one was interested in this Scorp & would like more history of this vehicle simply contact me

Good for you Phil.I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of months ago.I understand dealers have to make a profit but some people really take the biscuit dont they. The guy that had mine from me ended up putting it through an auction, but it didnt sell .He bought it knowing it had quite a few problems & bodged it up to get it running in an attempt to pass it on to some poor un suspecting person.Well he gave me £500 for it then tried to get back a whopping £1400 .Now with petrol topping £1.20 a litre i think he will be lucky to shift it at all
