2.3 ultima estate lpg SOLD
« on: Apr 25th, 2009, 9:04pm »

hi there

2.3 ultima estate lpg for sale/repair/spares.

located in Glasgow. looking for £200 for the complete car, including the lpg kit. i will not split any of it, so please do not ask. Wink

good bits.

'Tartarini Auto'  multi point lpg kit (nov 2003)
4 good kumho ku31 tyres. 5 alloys (4 now needing refurb’d gun metal grey). One never fitted after refurb.
leather interior in good condition
2 keys (including red master key)
7000 radio and 6 disc changer
remote fob which just about works Wink
genuine ford dog guard
genuine ford roof bars (scorpio ones, not granada ones) Wink
front window deflectors
tinted windows all round (20% back windows/15% front windows)
rear reversing sensors
gearbox working fine.
n/s driveshaft and cv's changed 1 year ago.
o/s (outside) cv changed 3 weeks ago.
both coilpacks changed at the end of dec.
lock on go mod fitted.
aircon regassed over the winter.
MOT until 03/2010
Tax up at the end of April (1 week)
New (s/h galaxy) manifold fitted with replacement engine.

bad bits.
car was wrote off in dec 2005. someone ran in to me. Angry
new (2nd hand engine) fitted aug 2008. no idea of mileage, but running/pulling well. car has just under 147k miles on the clock.
vauxhall injector multiplugs fitted with the new engine. reason given was the fuel cut off loom fell apart, but the rest of it looks fine. Roll Eyes those who remember know my feelings about how good the work was. Angry fixed most of it myself later. Smiley
sunroof doesn't work. control wires are stretched. motor is fine, though,
various common rust patches about the car.
Bottom bushes on the rear shocker have play in them (2 s/h shocker in good condition supplied to change them with).
Sticky front n/s calliper.
Hbc plays up on occasion (code 57).
Sometimes jumps on to LPG too early (engine coolant not up to temp), causing car to stall. Does it 1 in 5 times, maybe. Just switch off the lpg system until it heats up a bit, if you want. I just keep under 2k rpm for the first mile or so.

Thing that’s about it. Buy and drive away. LPG kit is worth the asking price alone!

Are you sure you want to sell it Andrew??

I'll have it but only if you're sure. It might end up with a 24v in it though Wink

hi there

well the Scorpio is away. Stuart took it away this morning after a demonstration of how to fill it up with gas! Wink

replacement car is a 2003 mondeo ghia x (5 door).
2.0 16v engine with 145bhp.
all the toys of the Scorpio... heated leather seats, remote central locking with global opening/closing via the remote as well, sunroof, climate control, cruise control, trip computer and cup holders! Grin

not quite as comfy as the Scorpio, though.
only downside was the valeter never appeared, so i need to clean it. and it was a dirty family that had it before me! Angry still working out the best way of getting at the melted chocolate? on most of the seats. it's gone through the leather perforations, if you know what i mean.

hi there

it's way, way passed that! i'll need to use a pin on all the holes, then out with autoglym leather cleaner (no conditioner in it), followed by turtle wax leather cleaner and conditioner.

Ah, but wifes 2001 Ghia X Mondy (a Y reg as well funnily enough) only has an electric drivers seat, no seat memory, no reverse sensors, no dipping wing mirror on reverse and a few other things I can't remember.  Shame they didn't do an Ultima Mondy - or is that what the titanium is?

other than that, the wife is very happy with it Smiley  The kids can make a mess of that car while she leaves the Scorpio to me Smiley
