2.0 16v Auto Ultima Saloon NOW SOLD

N Reg, 116,000 miles Loden Green Full years MOT Taxed till November recent new tyres all round and front brakes This was one i initially bought unseen to break but it was in great condition, done some minor work on it and now put it through an MOT (Today 15/6/09) needs some work done on the rear arches and a rust patch on the boot but its pretty good aside from that internally and externally Will be taking it to Harewood this weekend for the run if anyone wants a look at it. I'm seeing if theres any interest on here first before I throw it to the vultures on ebay. it was owned for six years by a retired mechanic and he's really looked after it so it would suit someone looking for a good one to keep long term, its too good to be Joe Public's Granada! http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=OT;action=displa y;num=1243889907;start= Car is located near Edinburgh. Going on ebay this week I think Was very surprised by the fuel consumption on the Harewood trip, on the way down I drove it hard 90+ and it returned 33mpg (aircon on constantly) on the way back i had plenty time so I set the cruise control to 60 for half the journey and it averaged 39 with the aircon on and 42 with it turned off (in the cool evening) for the second half I'd rather see someone on here get it rather than someone just looking for an old car to run about in.. Years MOT and taxed till November, so far it stands me at £300, I'll take £400 and £50 will go to the forum. anyone interested??

I'm after a Scorpio for the other half as she's fallen in love with mine and consequently getting harder and harder to prise the keys out of her handbag Your car looks great, but I noticed you'd had the dreaded bubble in the mirror and an issue with the rear brakes according to another thread on here. I'm assuming the brakes got sorted for the MOT but did the mirror get replaced? Also How bad are the arches and the boot? Can't see too much in the piccies on fleabay. Cheers, David

Sounds good to me....just got an enquiry out for the rough cost of wheel arches doing (using one side of my Scorpio as a guideline!) Although I probably could resort to P38 if it's too expensive. Regardless I'm still very interested in the car so I'll have to get ready to bid on ebay. David

Well the car has a bid on ebay so it looks like its going to be on its way.. The only one out of 23 to date ever to leave me! Surprisingly I've had quite a bit of interest and a few viewings (had to bite my tongue a few times when "Granada" was mentioned though)!!

That would be me then Is it a sign of madness to have more than one Scorpio in the household? (No offense intended Stuart ) Anyway, this one is for the other half so she stops pinching mine David
