Hey guys, The Scorpio is now on Ebay and has passed M.O.T with only a couple of small things as it was maintained 100%.I bought the car at 42k and it has been treated like royalty (as we scorps do) and before me it belonged to a Scottish laird who has squillions of pounds.Apart from a wee ding on the door it is awesome and has none of the usual rust spots, starts and stops great and runs sweet.
The watch total on Ebay is 77 and rising with dozens of offers to end the sale now.
What do you guys think is acceptable as i dont want to turn down an offer that is more than ok.
Once it was valeted i thought about keeping it but its a bit late now.cheers guys,Craig. exact mileage 72.354

Do 2.9 12v's sell that well when you can get a Cosworth with the same fuel consumption and better performance?

I know which I would choose anytime! Didn't think it had a sports option for the autobox, or that you can get 30+ mpg?

Mondeoman.
I understand your thinking on 12v versus 24v,however remember that the 24v is only a 12v block with a mighty quad cam head, thus the good old 12v goes on and on,if parts are required you can get em,24v parts are obsolete,so if your power machine has a problem you may have to kiss it goodbye !!

I try to post regularly!   But I'm busy most days and holiday at the moment.   I also live in the middle of nowhere and the phone lines are poor, so my broadband is also poor.   Just put a lovely new Stainless Steel exhaust on my Scorpio, sounds a bit louder unfortunately but will last forever.   There's a chap on here over at Kyle as well, and I regularly see a bloke in Elgin with a Green Cossie that has a bashed rear light.   There's a bloke in Nairn that has a Blue one the same as mine, it's really immaculate but is only an 'E' model with steel wheels with covers.   He's had it since new and only done 27 thou' miles, it's a 'P' reg I think.   There's another dark green 2.3 at forres, but it's a real dog.   It clunks into gear and is obviously a farmers car that's treated more like a tractor.   I'm hoping for a 'spares' car at some stage, hopefully with a good box and the 12 spoke wheels so I can get at least 4, 12 spokes powder-coated by a mate.   I've still got to strip my new 2.0 litre engine, and I've discovered another 2.0ltr engine at work in the engine store with all the injection system intact that seems to be a 2.3ltr system.   I also found a full fuel cut-off loom in the engine store, that will sit in my loft for a while!

Which is exactly what happened to mine and I had invested thousands into it.... the hose that runs from the stat through the heads went and that was it, no longer available and no decent second hand parts that you would trust and no copy parts
