Scorpio 2.3 manual for sale

Hi there,
My father is selling his cobalt blue R-Reg Ford Scorpio Ultima 2.3 litre saloon. Manual gearbox.
Leather seats, floor mats, interior etc. in good condition as picture.
148563 miles as of 09 MOT, but likely not that much more added on since as between 08 and 09 MOTs, only 4000 miles added. MOT expires 19-11-10.
It's had about £1200 quid spent on it in the last couple of years.
Work done according to MOT history over that period:
New petrol coil pack & leads fitted October 2009
New inlet manifold, idle control valve, thermostat, fuel rail etc. fitted August 2009
New catalytic converter, new HEGO sensor fitted November 2008
New rear tyres, new tail pipe etc. fitted October 2008
Engine runs smoothly, but no air-con. We have the extra-length drive belt if you wish to rebuild the air-conditioning but the car motors along perfectly happily without it.
Rust is in the usual places for a Scorpio, i.e. wheel arches, under cills, around rear indicator light panel etc. but nothing is too bad. The main fail is the battery mounting plates are rusted. Without the battery being securely mounted to the chassis, it won't go through the next MOT, so the new owner would need to weld on a new mount. Mounting points are still fine. It's not hard to do and if it's more economical than arranging a transport we can arrange to have the work done at our local Ford garage so that the car can be driven, subject to lifting the SORN etc.
The only reason my father is selling is that he's 75 and he doesn't want to drive any more. My mother sold her K reg Granada for £325 earlier this year, so offers are welcome.

Thanks to the admins for letting me list this here and for providing the website which has been of great use to keeping the car on the road the past five years, but car is now sold and scrapped.
