97 24v estate in purple, 120k no mot. I bought this car as a project, I bought it off ebay just before xmas drove it home around 200 miles, nice drive!  it failed m.o.t on front wishbones, got some of those. Bit of rust on sills and chassis (advisory)  fuel tank leak, got another tank, rear shocks, have fitted a pair nearly new shocks, and tyres low. Needs some tidying up especially wheel arches, be a shame for it to be scrapped. But I can’t afford to do it now, so sadly it may have to go, what’s it worth? Any interest? Well a bit about the car, this was to be a project for me, (The perfect car for me would have the tan interior, which I have in the 12v, but this one has black) I already have 2 ultima estates, but always wanted the 24v, but I don’t seem to have the time to do it now. I just fitted nearly new shocks on rear, (cost 450 used for 9 months on my old Ultima which I had to scrap) also comes with good spare tank, and rear calliper lines, good front wishbones, needed for mot. (From a club member) I think the price would have to be 550. I paid 400 for it, but have spent out more on spares for mot. it would have to be trailered away, has cracked headlamp, comes with another one. It has aftermarket speakers, and head unit, not tried this. 12 spoke wheels, The heated seats worked, there is a nasty mould smell from the rear floor, (may need carpet,) in december when I drove it back 200 miles mostly 80 mph. there were no problems at all, lovely ride in fact, (better than my old Granada Hatch with the BOA engine) The noise on hard acceleration is amazing from the BoB engine, because of the above bits it failed the mot, advisories were tyres, weak patches on sills. Rust patch in the chassis. where they all go, on drivers side, (no where near as bad as my 2-3,) I was going to weld this up when the fuel tank was off for changing. easy job! Previous owner reversed up a steep grass bank and forced the tank up which split the seam! So It will need some good tyres, there is a rattle on first cold start up, either timing chain rattle or tensioner pulley bearing. I will get some pics up. (can email these) When I can. Over the weekend, sadly I don’t think I could do the work myself now, it would be nice to see it on the road, but if no interest, I will have to think about selling the shocks and other parts and get an offer from the dreaded ba***r  racers
Cheers Bob

one thing not in its favour! after running the car i realised the timing chain rattle is persistant and nasty, so i couldnt sell it as a runner. at one time i would have stripped the engine and do the timimg chains guides etc, but cant do that anymore. so looks like i will have to take off any good bits, and see what i would get. any one need anything? it will have to go pretty quickly now, with 3 on the drive,
