Have to let it go as I can't afford to run it anymore !!! MOT has just run out and no tax. a head gasket went last year so the heads have been skimmed new head gaskets, bolts etc.. so it all works again. I bought a Mondeo to use while the Scorpio was being repaired and got quite attached to gettinf 40mpg so am going to keep it and get rid of the Scorpio. Tried to sell on Ebay but got no interest so if anyone would like to make an offer ? I need the space so grab a bargain. I am in Gateshead,Tyne and Wear

To be honest the no TAX & MOT is a big put-off, have better luck IMHO if punter can just drive it away

| I would need to MOT at about £50, Insure at about £350 then TAX at £235 !!!! That ads up to selling for £800/£900 to get a better deal than part exing it at about £300. But i would be more than happy to tax & mot it if somebody would like to offer me £900+ ( but I wont be holding my breath waiting ) That is why I said ANY offers.

I think the MOT would be the best way to go £50 for the test (if of course it passes) would add value and make the car far more attractive to buyers. If it fails the test then potential buyers would know what they're up against and offer appopriately. Regards Dave

Thanks for the reply but it has had an MOT for the last year and nobody showed any interest in it then so I dont see the point in paying for another one to watch it sit on the drive for another year !!! It had new front discs flexy pipes and pads all round for the MOT in July 2010 and has done 300 miles since then. The heads have been scimmed new gaskets, bolts etc. fitted after it blew a head gasket so has cost me about £600. Have had enough of throwing money at it so it will go as it is. If nobody wants it as it is then i will part ex it. Have been told scrap value about £150 - £200. Have been offered £300 in part ex so if nobody wants it then i will part ex it.
