They are the same car, but being sold by different people with £1000 price difference!

Matt.
They are both dealers,so maybe neither of them own the car but are selling it 'on behalf of a customer', and are both chancers.A couple of years ago I saw a high spec Dorchester limo on ebay in Stoke for £6500,I contacted a friend who is in the funeral trade in Stoke,he said it belonged to a local funeral director, and was advertised by a local dealer.I subsequently bought it direct from the funeral man for £2500. Very nice for the dealer if someone out of touch appears on the scene eh !!

Maybe the 'dealer' bought it and is trying to make a profit. On the face of it the car looks good, and I'm tempted. Pity it's so far away, and a pity I've just paid a huge bill to the taxman.

Any 'inside' info welcome if anyone knows it...

Bit of a mileage discrepancy!   Just slight but I wouldn't be happy.   'Tis a nice car though, but I don't like estates so would never be tempted.

These cars are very photogenic and always look good generally, but as we all know can be very disappointing close up.

Not so good if you blow the pictures up.
The rear bumper doesn't fit and it would appear the car hasn't even been washed properly....so for that reason, I'm out.

Shame, these are rare.

They're just 'Station-Wagons'.  Grin  Now whether that means that they are only fit to work for the railway to deliver goods, or as some kind of carriage to be pulled by a horse I'll never know.   But to start an argument, or perhaps a bit of banter, the Saloon in my opinion is the far superior car!!!    Shocked   Aye the station-wagon can carry a wee bit of goods, but usually bought second-hand are all just stinking of Dugs!  (you'll never get the smell oot of the carpet)   Station-wagons are always noisier!   More, 'common' I would say   Tongue

I look forward to the rebut of the superior Saloon!   Cheesy

My first scorpio (the one that got me hooked on these things) was an estate . The 2.9 cosworth and ive got to say i loved it until it when tits up , my loss highlanders gain Sad
Since then ive had 2 saloons including the one i have now , i do miss the estate ,it was handy for carting stuff about . But ive got to say now i do prefer the saloon , and you can still get plenty in the huge boot and i think they just look better , but hey wadda i know

The superior saloon is not too handy for conveyance of the deceased from their place of demise PJ.It's horses for courses, station wagon is a Yank term for that type of vehicle used on their cattle stations. Our old term of course is 'shooting brake', used for transporting the gentry on bird and animal murdering sessions in the countryside by way of their double barrels, hoorah Henry eh what,"you shot my deuced dog you swine", "apologies old bean,it was running like a ruddy deer"  Roll Eyes

Come on chaps we should all at least acknowledge the arse end of the saloon is not its best feature...whereas the estate is quate 'andsum, m'lady....and doesn't take a bishop's blessing to start it ...http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-21009301
