Taxed 11 months, MOT 7 months. 124K miles, tow bar.

£400, plus £200 road tax if needed

Starts first time, runs smoothly, fabulous work horse.

Reliable enough but various problems
Basically an ok vehicle. My daughter with young children, visiting from abroad, has just returned it to me after having borrowed it for 2weeks travelling just over 1000miles at 31MPG.

Problems when I bought it 18 months ago, no air con, no rear dipping interior mirror, front heated seats do not heat, minor crack to front bumper, radio display does not show in cold weather, CD player does not always work and interior rear roof lining is detached in places. These still exsist.

Problems that have happened since me owning it, door locking with key is fine but unlocking unpredictable and takes many tries, so we do not lock the car. Since October 2012, on 3 occassions, after the car has been standing for a day or two in cold weather the reverse  gear does not work smoothly until forward gear has been engaged for 100 yards, it then functions correctly. We park by reversing so that driving off is always in forward gear, it then behaves perfectly.

After over 10 yrs of owning scorpios this is probably my last one. As you will notice by the tax I had intended to keep it but a friend has offered me his car and that does not have a crack in the bumper or rear roofing sag. Already my wife is saying that it does not match the comfort and luxery of this Scorpio.

If this posting does not lead to a sale it will go to Ebay.
