If you have space, could be a good project and 1 more on the road would help.
Perhaps some on here have a lot of room, unfortunately my drive is like a Ford forecourt, and still have one at the garage.

That's my car. It's perfectly saveable, I just have too much going on to do all the work that's needed.

My 24v will be up for sale soon as the diesel is gone.

The problem with trying to sell a car on here, most people have one already!   When the MOT comes due on mine late this August, I'll have to make a big decision.   To throw a wee bit of money at it, or store it, or scrap it.   The car's worth about a thou' as it stands, perhaps a bit more.   But realistically it's not worth anything until someone pays you the readies.   I sold my other Scorpio a couple of years ago, I'd checked it over carefully myself and all it really needed was the rear flexi-hoses replaced, and the front drop-links.   The car was really solid underneath, and the paintwork was as good as it needed to be.   I let it go for £400.   I had nothing but hassle from the guy that bought it from me, saying he'd taken it to a garage and it needed £500 worth of work to fix for MOT.   I even offered to come and get it and take it to the place I go for MOT's, but he wasn't interested and just kept texting me and phoning me.   Well I aint going through that again!   Another problem is I live far North Scotland, and most people don't realise I'm 6 hours North of Carlisle.   Still, I'm getting older now and have 4 Cars and 3 Bikes to look after, so something has to give.

Hello Peter,

You will only sell a scorpio to a guy who wants one.
Nice ones are rocking horse poo, sit on it and sell when you're ready.
Like you I have 4 cars at present but they ain't going for nowt (or worse banger "racing" Nerds driving into each other really).
There are only less the 2000(ref DVLA) out there now and just 500 on the road. What with ebayers ripping them apart, soon if you ain't on here you won't have a Scorpio.

Stow it don't sell it, better still use it, they're less tempremental then.

After parking up my 24v to take some photos it now won't start (doesn't seem to be sparking) so looks like I'll be keeping it for a while yet!

Hello All,
I'm looking for a 24v automatic to provide parts to keep my beloved 'Reg' on the road, I bought one through this site 3 years ago and we are looking for another as we have already taken quite a lot from it.  Your car would be treated with respect and I am prepared to pay a fair price.  I've already asked on here but seeing your comments wondered if you would kindly bear me in mind if you think of selling. Thank you
Eileen (REG's Mum, known as scorpi-oh on here)

Hello just had some bits from a+e breakers up north, they have 3 in for scrapping - what bits do you need and does it have to be cosworth. There is an engine less w pump on the bay and a couple of gearboxes.
P m me for further details.

The few scorpios left now makes it a shame to break any even the rusty ones can be rescued if you are willing to spend on them.

Just to let you know, Eileen (scorpi-oh) has been on the mailing list for many years but rarely posted on here. She & her mechanic do all they can to keep her beloved "REG" on the road.
Although it's a shame to scrap yet another Scorpio at least it would help keep a cherished one going.

Mike (Nunnspoet) was it you collected & dropped off a bumper to Eileen a few years ago?

If you just add the number to an ebay itm link it keeps the length of the link down:

A&E Autos also known as Britannia Breakers.
I have had parts from them. Very helpful and say they never turn down Scorpios offered for breaking so usually have some in. Last time I was there they had seven in.
