Drop all the rubbish in the link & just leave the item number: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302879933542 "All Electrics Work." - maybe not for long as it appears to have just been washed under the bonnet without a battery cover in place.

As I know from experance, YOU DONT use a hose under the bonnet. I had to dry out the big plugs on the drivers side and regrease them as I had lost gears and other problems.
Another without battery cover:
Loved the "Normal Ford rust for a car of it's age" Also from doing some recent testing on a TR8 of varius K&N (if its genuine) Cone filters, one that size will be severely starving the engine of air at any higher revs, mind you given that the engine will detect that, may give better economy at the expensive of worse performance

So those cone filters are bad news then? look gimmicy (?) to me , but I'm old so what do I know? Just run standard ones on my cars, note it's going down in price perhaps they should fix it first then try to sell it. I mean if you take the time to find and fit a rear bumper spraying to match should be a doddle. Like the piccy of a rusty wheel arch, I'd be more concerned of rusty sills and mounting points that fail your MOT! Still like the state blue estate on the bay with 1 owner and 50k on it BUT it's got a "rod of power" what use is that iin a Scorpio - autos rule.

| Ford/Cosworth put a huge amount of development effort into the VIS induction system, they didn't just think hang on we have all this spare space lets fill it with a large air box and a resonator The main advantage of K&N filters is that they are washable and reusable, and to be honest not much more than that. They have an advantage when building custom inlets that they do a lot of shapes and sizes, however finding out what size is suitable for a specific application is now nigh on impossible as K&N a long time ago stopped publishing flow rates for their filters or filter material (probably because its so embarrassing) certainly more than anecdotal evidence point to the fact that direct K&N filter replacements for OEM ones, can be worse, struggle to match OEM ones and certainly do not release extra horsepower which is what K&N claim. Another thing you don't want is a filter under the bonnet sucking hot air (and it gets especially hot under the 2.9 bonnet!) Hot air less dense, will support less fuel, less power!. Hi Alan, Nice to know these filters are a waste of time just replaced them of 2 of mine, I like my cars near standard, always thought these filters looked bad. Llike you say a lot of development went into these cars you only have to look at the front ends of the late 90s and early 2000s motors to see many "ugly" Scorpios lights and grilles coming at you, probably Fords best ever car - not that I'm biased or anything. Like those figures are well within the tolerance limit of a good RR operator let alone a bad one (and there are a lot if them). Same RR session, back to back against a clean original filter? On a hot day with the bonnet shut or Open? Better than quoted Ford Numbers or Better than your car's actual Numbers? Rear Wheel Number's or operator calculated Flywheel Number's? 7 bhp at what RPM?
