Just In the middle of doing my 24v wiring loom it's a cheaper alternative a new one from ford is £670 plus vat as long as the wire your using is of the same rating there shouldn't be a problem

No no. this is part of the "fuel cut off loom". See http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/dohcloom.htm I have successfully repaired mine by splicing in a new section and covering the lot with heat-shrink insulation. Oliver
