Hi Snoopy

Who's the really good looking (vertically challenged) one in front?!!I think this joke could run for a very long time? The picture is great.Just a thought,i didn't know if you managed to get everyone's details who attended and if not, maybe everyone who attended, could either send you a PM or e-mail with their names, who they attended with and their car details?Just a thought. It'd be nice to have a list at the end of the write-up.OK,i know what you're thinking.....i'll shut up now!!

Regards
Kev

Blimey, what a multiple mugshot!
I'm a bit like Dave (The Fly) - I seem to have completely dodged the picture somehow. I was originally at the front but got completely blocked out by someone Cry (I'm somewhere to the left of WestHam fan Fitsy).  Any other angles get covered?

b****r,

i live on an estate which BT deem is too far from an exchange and NTL ran out of money before they got down my street. I would love to run a campaign that everyone leaves NTL until they start installing again (my business partner lives at the far end of a close. NTL cabled up the first 7 of 10 houses then stopped, all his neighbours have it and he can't get it or BT cos he is too far.

All a con if you ask me. like when Orange announced years ago that they covered 95% of the population but that 95% live in about 30% of the country. The rest of the time you had no signal

Rant over with, but if anyone on here works for BT, get your bloody fingers out and extend this bband distance you muppets

Hi baz

Unfortunately its down to the phone cables that are in use at the moment, when they were first installed in the ground many years ago broadband wasn't even  a tadpole in BT@s scrotum, so it all depends on the distance you are from the exchange, but in the bright side BT are gradually replacing all the cables with new fibre optic's cables which will be able to carry broadband signals over any distance.  I'm only 100 metres over their maximum distance but Freeserve still in-stalled it but occassionally i do loose the connection but i can live with that, so sometimes it's worth finding out exactly how far you are and see if BT will still install broadband if you are willing to accept the risks.

good luck

Hi Lad's
I'm quite lucky, I'm with NTL and I have broard Band, but no modem it is run through my T.V set box. Seem,s to be quite reliable and must of the time picture's come straight up on the old screen, no problem.
Sorry to sound like gloating not intentional. just forgot how frustrating it was before Broard Band guy's.

Fitzy.. I tried asking BT to install and I would accept the consequences but they wouldn't offer the service if they couldn't guarantee minimum standards. They get away with letting me struggle at 12k on a modem at home with a crap phone line because they only have to guarantee voice traffic...which it carries very well thank you!!

KEF, I know what it is like...that's why I had a 2gig link installed in my office to make up for it!! Grin

2gig!  Now that's fast.  I dread to think what that would cost or what you could do with it (if you could get it).  Grin
