Hi Jerry
I just wanted to know because you know I was getting
57 come up on the C.C  reset, so I got another HBC for a breakers and tried that, but still getting 57 come up on the reset !! Both are the new modified unit's. so still not sure what's wrong.

Keith

Have you tried the hbc fault finding. This should tell you if your hbc is working, if it is then it's likely that the satc is faulty or from what some others told me at derby it may take several resets till it really resets ? go figure

Keith,

code 57 is a tricky one, it doesnt always refer to a faulty HBC and often a rest will surfice. If you have CC faulty operation then take action but if its simply the 57 or 07 fault that comes up with no bad symptoms then just ignore it. If you have a true fault then investigate the tests on my ac index pages at http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acindex.htm

Hi B.B
Yes your right B.B, the blower seem's to work fine, what ever I set it at, it correspond's and doesn't seem to stop and start, It's just when I try to reset the C.C unit I get the 00 Display up and then click down to 50 on the display and has soon as I take my finger off the button it jump's to 57 before I can press and hold the recycle button in to obtain the 00 display again to tell me it's reset.

Hi Keith

I think it'd be easier to find someone who hasn't had that code come up when resetting!!!All i can suggest is to keep trying to reset the C/C.I've had the same problems with getting the fault code AND with it jumping back to 57,before i can do the final reset.Just keep trying and it should work (eventually!).

hi there

when doing the re-set, press down to get the code 50. then start the reset (1 or 2 buttons), the error code will come back up, but just carry on pressing the button(s) until the flashing 00 appears. let the button(s) go and wait untill -- appear. job done. Smiley
