Ebay fever

I've been wrapped up in my house extention build so have not been on the computer as regular as I would like..just snippets here and there...oh, and I got married in September as well...hee hee

anyway......
just looked on Ebay, the price of Scorpio parts is crazy....climate panels, mudflaps and rear view mirrors going for mega money.
An example is, I went to a scrappy in Shildon, Co Durham, an honest scrappy that caters in all modern cars, I bought a Scorpio estate tailgate back panel, Ultima interior mirror, climate panel, pair of Ford original mudflaps and passenger illuminated visor...all for £30.......yes £30 notes...

Ebay..each item is double/triple that figure...why? bidding fever perhaps or just people too lazy to visit scrappies and do the hard labour.

Scorpios are becomming regular sights in scrappies so parts are a plenty...This scrappy has 4 complete cars in, 2 Ultimas and 2 Ghias...petrol and diesel. Plus, a lot of scrappies are doing mail order now so costs are still reasonable.

happy motoring

Seems to depend upon which part of the country you live in as Not a single scrappy in my neck of the woods has any parts for a Scorpio whatsoever.

You should try getting bits for one in Scotland, very hard to find any breaking up here,  there isn't even that many on the road where I stay.  I had to travel to Rotherham to buy mine as there were none for sale up here. So I have bought alot off ebay, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get the parts.

Just click on this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/ and type in Ford Scorpio in the box, just underneath where it says Welcome To E-bay and you'll be away.
