You must have spell checked it Grin
Anyway,The first time I phoned Wanadoo(last night) the guy gave me the ip address for the site then tonight (just before i posted this)I restarted the commputer and could not get back onto the site again! so I phoned again and after a geek that was no use at all, I phoned again(by the way, fool me, forgot to write down the ip address!) she asked about my firewall settings(I've got AVG,nasty eh!)she told me to reboot and switch off the personal firewall and, Low,here I'am.
    Hope this helps!

Personal Firewalls in my opinion cause problems usually when the popups ask questions that the user cant answer and normally clicks "yes"
This the trains the firewall.. always clicking yes negates the whole idea of having it in the first place as it is asking you whether something should get out. but 9 times out of 10 the user doesn't know whether it should or should not......

No real point in installing a firewall and then not knowing how to use it.

A friend of mine said he was totally firewalled and felt protected but when I looked through his firewall settings he had just said yes to everything and he had wasted his time installing something just to negate all of it's protection!!

Sadly 98% of people I come across in my job (ICT support Tech) install a firewall then have no idea how to configure it and answer yes or ok to every dialog they get after that....a firewall closes all of your ports...except the ones IE6 etc use or the ones the system needs.
It will then ask you when an unknown app wants out (or in) you need to know what this app does.. if you say "yes" this then opens a port for that app..if in doubt say "NO" if something stops working you can go into the settings and change it.

Once you open that port it is done and forever till you use the firewall to close it, think of it as a load of doors that are locked.. (rememeber the last scenes of LawnmowerMan?) give the key out and they are open.. you have now lost the key and have no control...

Don't think that you are protected by a firewall you have installed, and XP's built in F/W is a pile of sewage (yeah sp2 sorted some stuff out but it still should be OFF)
You need to learn what firewalls do and that means a lot of heavy research if you want to be properly protected.

I am here if anyone needs help with their system.. PM me if you need help.

Also somthing else i have just found out, after not being able to access the site AGAIN! is connect first! then turn off the firewall! Im getting there but it may take more phone calls and a lot more of Frustration!
Oh by the way you will not reiceve any notification of post replies from the site to your e-mail because when you log off,the firewall restarts the next time you turn on again and goes back to blocking anything and everything from this server (which of cause does not exist again!)(and dont coment on the spelling,Im not in the mood!) AngryAnd sadly Vulcan we are not all I.T nut's ,just ordinary guys trying to get on the best website on the net!

Wanadoo has let me on the site tonight(bless em)I could'nt get on last night,it's very hit and miss! Craig and ianmc, I fully sympathise with the frustration! is there anything that admin can do to let Wanadoo know there is somthing wrong with their side of the connection??If not I think it's time to start advising members not to use Wanadoo if they wish to accsess "this website" for they will have nothing but problems and big phone bills ahead!(Wanadoo Broadband that is) I have only just gone onto Wanadoo so I have just got to sit it out for a year untill I can change to another Broadband provider!   I cannot contact admin, and I reiceve no notifications of my post replies! for all Wanadoo Broadband users I hope Admin can sort it!
     Hopefully
