Agreed. That'd be good. Are there any people who know people who know about organising such events?

Flat caps & Ferrets optional!! (Or where Dave lives it is mink and trilbys!!)

I'm up for it. What about a meeting in Blackpool before the lights finish followed by a mass drive through the illuminations!!

Tshh, indeed.

How did the data cabinet swap job go tuther night, Baz? I hope you were satisfied with the ratio of Ferraris to Fiats on your journeys. I have a confession. I've never even been to Blackpool. A nice idea.. I can't imagine what a parade of Scorpios looks like. Head-turning, at least. Let's do it!

I changed my front fogs/indicators today. They were so messy. Nice new (second hand) ones from eBay, yum. Also put a stereo in it yesterday. And fixed the handle on the nearside backdoor. Don't you just love new cars! That period of fettling until they're just right.

However. If I buy insurance now: £2400. If I buy insurance in January: £1100. I'm on my feet until then. Depressing or what.

Not really no. But it's a shame.

£2400.....wow! mine is now less than £300.00 (FC) £2400 will get you a lot of taxi journeys (and so would £1100)

Job went well, I wass zapping down Ryleys lane to the father in laws to pick up my little one at 7:30 pm so only a couple of hours!

Nice road, how dyou like the new surface? Heh.  Mmm... if I buy online, £1064 in January. That's not much considering last year it cost me £1380 for insurance on a 1984 VW Polo Coupe... 1.3! So i'm happy. I just have to wait. Ten weeks. Ten weeks. That's easy, I can do that. And if I save a hundred pounds a week i'll buy it outright.

It sounds like interesting work, what you do, Baz.

Let me know if you need an apprentice. Wink

P.S.  Yes, topic... NW meet. Go go go!

I own my own (well 50% with my best mate since we were 4 years old!) computer network cabling company. We do a lot of work in schools but also do most of the Johnson the cleaners factories and the most high profile job we have done so far is the M6 Toll motorway. We cabled all of the toll booths and control centres....nice!!

I am looking for a couple of young lads at the moment to train up, but we are based in Warrington.

Crumbs! Oui, i've looked at your site before. Having another look now though!

Those whiteboards are clever inventions. I saw one being used a little while ago.. where, where... well anyway, i'm familiar with them.

What credentials might a young lad have to possess to become a potential candidate for hire?

Actually it's ridiculous to ask, I have no background with electrics whatsoever.

There are hundreds of people who'll fit your bill, I hope you find the good ones.

The M6 toll job is very impressive! Wow.

We took up the plastic covering between carpet and door seals in the scorp yesterday.. baffled by all the wiring. Suddenly it all becomes clear, you must feel right at home with it all!

I'm off to watch Horizon...

Does sound good..............but Blackpool in November is a little bleak. Maybe we should do something there early next year. I once had to survey a job on Blackpool Pleasure Beach in January!! Walking round the place when it is empty is really wierd!

Yes, Baz, I agree. Blackpool in November? I'd rather not! Sad Hmmm.... Blackpool anytime? I'd rather not  Angry, but if that's what it takes to get us northeners out and family approval  Wink, then so be it.

Count me in for a NW meet in the new year.

Actually on a more serious note how about a little trip along the M62 and a bit of light detailing with a spot of snowboarding in Spring 2005

As a warm up for Harewood.

Geoff, I like the idea of Gullivers as I wouldn't have to take the car.....................but that sort of defeats the object.........so Castleford sounds good..............but then Geoff wouldn't need to take the car...........oh hell this is getting too much!!
