Useful info on a website

Hi All,

I happened across this website whilst doing a  "Ford Scorpio" search on google..
  www.fordscorpio.ee

Click on the english tab and all is revealed. Main point of interest to me was on the sub-menu on "VIN Codes". It gives a key to deciphering your VIN i.e. when/where the car was built etc...

Well I thought it interesting anyway!! Tongue Tongue

A page is on the main site here for exactly that VIN deciphering...

http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/vinno.htm

Lots of interesting stuff on that website, the Polish to English translations are fairly humourous at times... like this one from the defects page...

At Scorpio too easy back, that conducts to aggravation of controllability (tendency to early drift of a back fulcrum) and passableness (tendency to burn)

 Huh

Do you know...I thought we must have had that info somewhere on this site....just couldn't find it...thanks for the link....agree there is some corkers in the translation though.... Grin Grin

How about ...
"Scorpio has not perfect controllability (though it is quite dynamic) is not blessed by Japanese reliability or Mercedes quality, but nevertheless quite decent car with prices which overbalance any defect".... Roll Eyes

I think thats a compliment? Huh

I also like the way it refers to models as 'breeds'...

Still, their English is 1000x better than my Polish!

I love the Scorpio's Tuning page - I was expecting wild Big Bore exhausts, Nitrous kits, Twin Turbo conversions etc and what do you get-

Sticker kits for a Granada Scorpio dash

Hmmmmmm

I love this one... I haven't a scooby what it's on about but it sounds real technical...

Well familiar at all to holders Scorpio a negative disorder of back sprockets. Quite often it happens is called defect of springs, but also quite often - by a strain of points of fixing of back arms on a girder because of poor thickness of metal. In front economies too have not passed by gift - in due course cups of front shock absorbers "are piled", and there is also negative disorder of front sprockets. The patterns with heavy V6 are more inclined to this, but also on easier happen.

And have a look on the "complectation" Huh page..

Apparently a GL model has in it's specs a manhole??
