Just phoned my local dealer in order to confirm that my thermostat for my 1998 Cosworth had come in (I am on my third promised delivery date) and low and behold....it hasn't. It is a bloomin disgrace and it isn't a dealer issue, it is a Ford issue. They just can't supply the parts and should be brought to account by someone, the car is only 7 years old after all. I am now waiting for some parts guy to phone Fords and for them to tell him another pack of lies regarding when I can expect it!! No wonder they stopped making the d**n things! I can feel a Vauxhall or a Rover coming on (censored on advice from above!!) Baz If anyone does have a new thermostat they would like to sell me, let me know. UPDATE: Just had the call from the dealer and it is now showing as "order line released on the 2nd Feb" which means it is on its way from Germany and will be here in 2 - 3 days (only took me 2 hours on Easyjet!!) If anyone fancies buying one, I'd get your order in now while you still can! Watch this space!!

Sorry but I got worked up!! If only I was calm and collected and knowledgeable maybe I could get promoted!! Thats pants service baz with my ladys merc 190 i can order a part at 4.00pm and it is in the dealers for 8.30 next morning from germany so why cant ford offer the same service more like they cant be bothered because the car is out of production and would like you to buy a new one

STOP PRESS I have just had a phone call from the dealers to say.....the part is in now!! I don't believe it!! I am going to go and get it in a bit. I am so excited!! but it will probably turn out to be a stat from a 12v or something!! Will let you all know Baz

| Neither do I. Maybe they heard you and stuck it on EasyJet. Really bad news though isn't it. Makes me wonder if I should start looking for one now... just in case mine fouls up next year.

It's Here!!! I have the new thermostat. I nearly kissed the parts man I was so emotional. I went on to thank my agent, my mum, my dad, the wife, the kids etc etc.!!! I have booked the car in at my mates garage next week and will dust off my last spare radiator at the weekend!! I will keep you informed because I think the one I put on only a month ago is starting to baloon already!
