I picked it up for £1500 with a years MOT
Seems to have all the extras on it too
a few minor things wrong that i'm slowly putting right, including
dash bulbs out
indicator lens broken (need a OSF one)
drivers door pocket broken off
bonnet catch broken
headlamp washers blocked (fairy liquid i think!!!)
couple of little scratches
runs great, getting 25-28mpg with it so far
Would have loved it in the Estate (some people are never happy!!)

Hmm the price doesn't upset me too much cos I got mine cheapish (ended up about the same as yours once all the work was done though!!) but the MPG you are getting is making me a bit jealous!  Is that all motorway miles with the wind behind you?!

Thank goodness for that - nearly had to have a lie down then Think 16mpg was my average for the first week or two. Or three. That Cosworth lump does sound nice!

The sound of the cossie, yes that's something i would appreciate as the 2.5TD doesn't quite sound the same!

Yep that is good. My neighbour still thinks it is a Granada, and I think she was a bit miffed that the engine was bigger than in her brand new Audi (2.4)
