Got my car back!!

Hi all,
Well after nearly 2 weeks off the road I've finally been and fetched the Scorp from the garage complete with 'new' gearbox......and what a difference!!......gearshifts are absolutely unnoticable, theres no whine on moving off and selecting reverse is instant and also unnoticable (i.e. no clonk or jolt as it engages)...best £800 I ever spent...

Thanks for all your comments guys...I still can't believe what a difference it makes....
For your information I had it done at 'Belvoir Auto Transmissions' in Newark, Notts (01636 678000).
Cost was £675 + Gordon Brown's Fee (£793 total). This is for removal/refitting, full reconditioning of the original box, new torque convertor and sundries (filter/oil etc).
Was off the road for just over 2 weeks, but he says it usually only takes a week, but was delayed due to a 'rush job'.....and as I had the courtesy car it didn't affect me to much....
Very knowledgeable about Fords in general...and knew about the differences on the 12v box (and TD) compared to all the other Scorps before he'd even seen the car...always a good thing!
