....The trip commputer module! None of the diodes work thanks to a bloke I sent it away to saying he would fix it! any way it came back working less that when I sent it (and I now notice,no new," claimed soldering"!) maybe a ploy to get or build a good unit himself I suspect(Think He sent his duff unit back to me?) Moral 1; Mark your sent items!!!!! ANYWAY Fed up with the dare'nt touch module,I touched it!, alot, I removed it from the lower dash and swore at it! Then I dismantled it,Springs jumped,6 in all! I thought, streach the 3 silver coloured one's to make them push down on the little daft H contact harder! Did'nt work, they just stuck in.After squashing them back together with pliers and fingers and refitting to the dash.......!!! It did'nt work! so I removed the unit for a third time!. it came apart behind the dash and I lost 3 of the 6 springs(all the red ones) After this total Butchery of a fine item, I crammed it back into place, Laughing about the £20 it would cost me to replace it!now fully resigned to that fact ... It now works perfectly: Mode S R all of it ! Maybe stranger things happen at sea?
