Its not often on these pages that I see someone say that something on their scorpio was fairly cheap to fix so I thought I would try and offer a glimmer of hope. My car started developing the wild needle flicking syndrome on startup which i thought I would try and fix with a new battery - i popped into my local Ford dealer to get the right spec so I could hunt around for the best deal and what did I see in there........."40% off motorcraft batteries" so I got a cossie spec one for £52 which I was well pleased with. I know I could probably of got a similar one from another motor factors for about the same which would have been just as good but it saved me a lot of hassle running around!

When i went to my local FMD for a sump plug they were doing discounts on oils/filters....about £25 for 5litre Motorcraft synthetic oil...not bad.. There was also reduced price paint touch-up kits and bulbs...
