Goodbye.....

As some of you may have noticed, I have'nt been on for a while, this was due to a computer virus, but while I was away I sold the Scorpio. I got a good offer so decided to pass her on and buy something a little older. A Ford Orion Series 1 1.6 injection Ghia. 34000 miles from new, garaged all it's life, never out in the rain. It was an elderly gentleman who owned her but has recently gave up driving. Ideal for my next show car , and i've always wanted one. But don't think you's are getting rid of me, I am still organising the Scottish Ford Day meet (i'll still be there) for the club and will continue to visit the site. Thank's to you all for all the help over the past 2 1/2 years, it's been great to meet up and make new freinds with such a great bunch!!!!!

Blimey! That's a shocker. Your Scorpio was a peach. Can't believe you swapping it for an Orion either. It may be a nice example, but from what I remember, the Orion was a horrible little car. Anyway, good luck with it.

It's a car i've always liked, this will be the 4th one i've owned. Granted the Mk2 was more "tinny" and had half the stuff in it, that the Mk1 had. Anyway's the Mk2 is the wife's motor, i've got plans for another Granada Scorpio, need to wait on a good one coming up though, although a MK2 Ghia X may be on the cards.

Cheers. Basically, all I need to do to it, is get it gleaming and change the front spots, so they both match (one got broken) erm...... and that's it, show time. It really is a time warp, could have driven out the showroom yesterday, even down to the orignial 2 knob radio. The engine still sounds as sweat as a nut, and a bit tight. (it's never been driven above 50mph).

Definately a shocker!! Did you ever see the MK5 Cortina that was sold on EBay that only had delivery mileage on the clock? It was sold buy a ford dealer last year....I can post some pics if you want to see it, now that was a real time warp!! Good luck Locky. If you need any parts, there a few Orions in my mates yard at the moment. Let me know Baz

Nice Orion Locky, I like those MK1 Orion’s a lot better than the second or third generation. We used to have a MK1 like that and it did us proud for 16 years. Kind Regards Danny_R
