well the scorpio has now gone.... 
all the way to scotland.  ,a place called carntyne just outside glasgow,the new owners name is john,and has promised to join the site,so when you do john,i am sure you will be made to feel most welcome.....
was expecting the car to stay a little closer,but he phoned me up yesterday,and left glasgow by bus last night at 9PM,arrived to meet me at bristol this morning at 9.25,happy as larry with it (knew he would be  ),and now has a 8 hour journey home......
very sad to see her go,but she has gone to a really good home,so all scottish members $please keep an eye out... ...
would like to express my thanks to every member past and present for all there help,and to the mods for keeping this an excellent site,no i am not leaving,i will still continue to log on and keep abreast of things....

A sad parting Craig but he must be keen to travel all that way. I'm sure the Scottish contingent will see that it is looked after !!, and us 'southerners' will keep an eye on any posts too, as no doubt you will!.

Hi Craig, sorry to hear about the Scorp mate. As said already, if the new owner came all that way for the car I’m sure they are going to look after it well. I really admired how much time and effort you put into your Scorp, I too am having to come to terms that I’m going to have to sell mine as it's looking impossible to get it to the states. Anyway Craig hope to see you from time to time on the board

john (the new owner),phoned me thursday evening and expressed a big interest (as he was from scotland,i honestly thought nothing of it in the end),anyway he phoned back on friday,first with an offer (what was posted in the auction),then secondly telling me he had managed to get a bus ticket for saturday,and could i please meet him at bristol coach station
the rest is history as they say

that is still a great pic taken by maddy,so much so that for the last 12 months or so it has been printed off by me and framed,still on the wall now,and will always continue to stay there as well....
memories indeed....

I often wonder what the guy overtaking was thinking.
By the time he got level with you, it was probably "Why's that idiot only doing 40 in this lane? Move over!"
I also remember (despite the relatively low speed) how much it took Maddy by surprise when she popped her head out of the window!
