Phew glad to be back!

I am back in the fold, I now have two Scorps having picked up a 96 2.9 12valve Ultima saloon in Tourmallard this afternoon, cruised back from Coventry up to Yorkshire and delighted with it (little bit tappety but pulls like a train, first job will be an oil change)  big benefit is that it came with 12 months MOT and some tax so I am a happy bunny...

However no red key and an aftermarket Toad alarm so I need to search back over the options for sorting that... works fine just at the moment but I don't want to end up logging a problem and upsetting the neighbours Wink

Needs a bit of TLC in terms of paint/body but really relaxed about that for the moment.

Feeling quite cheerful  Grin but wonder if 12 valves really do make you grumpy?

Thanks folks,

Started the spend already, oil and filter this morning and the tappets are sweet, front wheels balanced and a 60mph shimmy has gone. Got one of those fungicide sprays that you set off and leave in the car with the aircon on and the engine running (while you have a cup of tea and a biscuit in the sun and everything is smelling newish.

Off to Manchester in the morning, I like it!

Will start to touch in the stone chips and a few scratches at the weekend but I am almost tempted to put it in a paint shop like Locky did.

Thanks Baz,

Somebody seems to have done the taxi boot fix  Cool on this one already but the FDS would be welcome anyhow.

Tomorrow is an all day session at the airport but I will be over in Warrington a couple of times in the next ten days so I will give you a call.

Whats the plan for the 2.0?

Well now I have the 12 valve I have choices to make with the 2.0.

1 sell it as a spares or repair (nice leather interior hope it goes to a good home)
2 get it fixed up and keep it
3 park it up for a while and see (still starts up first turn of the key)
4 break it and sell of the bits Sad

Well there is only 1 thing better than owning a Scorpio, and thats owning 2 of them Grin

Suppose it depends on time, space and dosh.

You could get her fixed up then sell if you decided not to have 2 cars.
Sad fact with the way Scorpio sales seem to be going is that if you sold it in the current state it would probably end up being broken  Cry
