HI GUYS, i thought it would be good and in the interests of us all, to share this thread about one of the guys in the Mazdarotaryclub. who is having problems with an insurance company, it may give some insight in to how this particular insurance co. deal with anyone who is unfortunate enough to have a car fire or accident, it makes interesting reading, many other car clubs are lending their support, and encouragement, so any support welcome.

Its a bloody disgrace.
Companies just think they can do what they like.
I have never heard of that company. But now I have and my friends will too. Angry

Having waded my my way through the whole thread i'm speechless. This affects all of us and will be very interested to see the outcome. From what i can gleam Highway insurance have been less than proffesional in their dealings with Blitzboy. I for one will not be dealing with this company in the future even if they're the cheapest quote.

D!ck Turpin's still alive Highway robery.... remember the insurance company when you renew(stay away)
but in all fairness sounds like it's down to the so called trained accessor's lack of knowledge fault and the insurance company acting on his info.

but i understood that if it went up in flames you got paid out for the cost of the cars book value.

just goes to show its not that simple.

Unless you can prove it's worth more, and it IS that simple, the insurance company just haven't realised that yet.

I am slill ploughing through it.
I think this insurance company may go Bust if they are not carefull!
Just like Independent did a few years ago but other matters caused that one.
I think they must be well rattled by now!

From page 11 on the RX site

WHOOHOO they have SETTLED!!!!

Just been personally rang up by Peter Goodwright head Policy Holder Claims department, he apologised on how the claim was handled, and we have agreed on a sum of £7K which I am happy with as I have retained the salvage on my car as well.

So if mod a will change the title of this thread to "Highway Insurance not paying claim 'Highway Insurance have settled case with Blitzboy' "

Its strange how they have settled now even though I didnt finish and send my rebuttle letter.

Glad the worry is over!!! was getting some sleepless nights over it.

Power to the people!!!!!

Well that one has been but Ashley has a thread going here:

http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Advice;action=di splay;num=1156768666;start=

And it would be good if we could get our own head of steam up on this one.

I have posted onto the Mazda site and on the mailing list, if you are members of any other clubs can you post the link so that people that already are insured with "QOUTE ME HAPPY" can check the terms of their policy or visit the link so that NU can see how much attention it may get.
