Popping in for a visit

Just thought I would pop in and say HELLO!!  I still come in from time to time to see what you guy's are up to.

Glad to see a lot of old faces still here, looking after the Scorpio's.

I've been busy with the Orions the last few months, quite a few shows on this year, so i've been up and the country quite alot.

As for the Cars,  the Grey Mk2 auto I had gave up the ghost, the auto box went, and wasn't worth the expense of fitting a new one, so It went, and was replaced with a Black MK2 1.6 Ghia, Manual this time.  40000 miles from new on 2 owners and completely mint, still had the new smell inside.  And suprisingly, not a bit of rust on it.

As for the MK1, well, it's nearly full on Concours, the underbody has been completely striped of underseal, treated, stonechiped and painted body colour, all the clips etc replaced etc, so now looks "Showroom Fresh".  Even the interior has been striped out and the floor cleaned and polished.

Hopefully I catch up with some of you in the near future at some shows.  Take care and keep up the good with the site Wink Wink

Hi Locky

wow that is a shiny Orion! Sorry to hear of the other one, at least auto box troubles are not confined to the Scorpio  Wink

Hows the "new" baby doing? Many sleepless nights?  Wink

By the way, I may be very much mistaken, but I am sure I saw a picture of your B reg Orion in Practical Classics mag this month with reference to a Ford site on the net. Although I am sure you know about it if I am right  Smiley

Cheers

Thanks Dave, Colby is doing fine, and sleeps through the night, so not too many sleepless nights Grin and the rest of the family are fine as well.

Can't say I saw the picture in  Practial Classics to be honest, could you post a picture up or send to my email, must have missed it.

Not near any cameras/scanners at the moment mate but just checked it, it is the first picture of the B reg Orion as above. On page 11 of the November issue of Practical Classics with reference to a forum called Total Ford.

Yours is the first of 3 pics, the second being of a Cortina (60's vintage approx) and the third a Granada Mk2.

I have the mag on subscription so it probably ain't on the shelves yet.

Cheers  Smiley

WOW locky, that MK1 Orion is the business. Always prefered the MK1 to any of the others. I like the boxy shape of it. Dont think i've ever seen one in that good a condition. Take good care of it!!!

Kind Regards

Hi guy's,

How things??  Just in catching up on all things Scorpio.  I see the meets are still going ahead, good good!!  I'll maybe take a run to the next one, let me know when it is Wink Although, i'll be in a Volvo, sold the Orion Mk1 on, someone made me a good offer, and needed something larger again.  Nearly bought a very tidy Granada Scorpio again but was sold by the time I went to look.

Hope everyone is well and i'll see you all soon

Hi Andrew,

Hope you and yours are well Wink

It's a Volvo 850 GLT  2.5 20v, automatic, overall it's in good condition, with low mileage, but the plan is to get it to my usual standard by the summer.  All the usual refinements, power windows all round, half leather, switchable gearbox etc.  Needs fronts fog though Roll Eyes

I organized a meet a month ago and got a good responce so another one is planned soon.

Take care and have a merry Christmas and a happy new year, and hopefully we'll meet up soon, so keep me posted about any events planned. Wink
