Update On Theft Attempt
« on: Oct 24th, 2006, 10:32pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

I returned today from a trip to USA.
Did the usual thing of wading through all the junk messages left on the answer machine but, in among those was one from the Police. They had an update about the attempted theft of my car. You probably all remember the thread on that....

Look What I Found This Morning

Anyway, I thought I'd call them back tomorrow and decided to sleep this afternoon to try and catch up. Interrupting my nap was another call from the Police. They were quite keen to tell me the news (so far).

The news is that..... they've caught the guy who did it!  Shocked

What I know so far is that this guy has been picked up for something else but, being that they had a DNA sample from the fag butt he left at my car (tw*t), he's admitted trying to nick it.

Don't know what other crimes he's done, but he was up in court today apparently and the Police have asked for a claim for compensation to be considered.

I should, hopefully, get another call tomorrow for a further update.

Yes they did. Well, kind of.
I mean, they wouldn't have done if I hadn't made them.

The officer was content with just taking away the broken steering column piece for a print.
I was disappointed with that and 'suggested' that they consider the cigarette seeing as I'm not a smoker.

Lucky I watch CSI I suppose  Roll Eyes

No more news yet though.

One thing strikes me in all of this - what sort of a thief was he? He seems to be niether thick nor intelligent.

I mean only an intelligent person would go for a Scorpio, surely?  They don't have particularly high resale or parts value on the black market and - let's face it - they aren't desirable to the general public. So that he went for the car in the first place suggests at least some grey matter.

And yet surely an intelligent theif would know that you CAN'T steel a scorpio unless you first steel the keys because it has an unbreakable immobiliser.

Cheers

Are you kidding?  Shocked

One of those evil green semen spitting mirror things that wrecks your interior.

Now what WOULD have been funny, is if the thick scumbag had fitted it in his OWN car, and it had leaked!!  Grin   Grin

That WOULD have been justice.

Agree with other posters. Cut his hands off, and feed them to the mirror!!   ROFL  ROFL

I don't have a green semen spitter - mine's a good'un.
But if he had nicked it, I'd be praying it f***ed up for him. As you say, some sort of justice.

Still no news yet guys. Been waiting gor them to call back.
I might give them a call tomorrow, just in case they forgot me.

Paul,

I'm very pleased to hear that plod actually attended your crime scene, and appear to be doing something but.....

Seriously,

Dont hold your breath.  Find out when the little sh*t is next in court, go along or get someone else who aint busy to, and sit in the public gallery.  That way, when he comes before the beak and the clerk asks him are you Mr so and so of such and such...... bingo you have his address.

Dont bank on getting any compo or that he'll get a decent sentence.  He'll probably get off with a free safari to Zambia or summat.

The old bear says:- Yahhh......"sexually orientated" Knob Jockeys the lot of 'em...... Shoot the little sh*ts !!!!   Grin Grin Grin
