Hello From Manchester

Hi Folks I've had a Scorpio for six months now. I think it's the best car I've ever owned and I was in the motor trade many moons ago. It's a 97, P reg Ultima 2.3, auto and all the toys. 2 owners from new and 45k recorded miles (49K now), although it did have a new speedo at 9k. Deep metallic blue P**RWC flash me if you see me! Looking forward to conversing with all. Best wishes and Happy New Year Geoff

Cheers People! I'll keep an eye out for all of you. Thanks for the compliments on the Scorpio. If I'm going to be completely honest, 2 elderly owners does mean that close up it's been scraped on all four corners and the offside rear door. There's a tiny patch of rust on the nearside rear wheel arch. I think she's going to get a respray this year, all she has to do is carry on being as reliable, quiet and smooth as the first six months. Best wishes Geoff

Blimey Geoff, it needs a respray? I spent a long while getting my car to look that good Scrapes happen, that's why Ford sell colour coat/lacquer aerosol packs, and very good they are too Rear wheel arch rust is a common Scorpio problem so don't let it worry you, as is the leading edges of the doors rubbing and the bottoms of the doors getting scabby because of the amount of water the rubber valet strips hold...if you get any of this, don't fret, you're not alone Regards, Bruce.

| You are indeed mate Just don't do what I have, lust after a very expensive motor then have to sell your clothes, cat, girlfriend, house and Scorpio to pay for it Well...of course I haven't sold my clothes, don't be silly Happy driving, you've got the best model in the best colour. Regards, Bruce.
