Not having a good day.

40 miles an hour, patch of diesel, two crash barriers.

Suppose when all's said and done, it's only a car and I'm in one piece.

I've accepted that it's written off, the rear sustained a lot of damage in the first impact.

Thanks for the sympathy and good wishes, I'm off to the autotrader website and ebay now, I think it's got to be another Scorp'.

I'll keep you posted

Best wishes

Geoff
Nothing I can say........................
BUT Any landing you walk away from is a good one..............
AND Despite impacts passenger compartment looks v. intact...........Scorpio design saves you injury........
ALSO If insurance pays out OK with falling values perhaps you can buy an even better Scorp......... Smiley
Very Good Luck to You.......try and keep your chin up Wink

Thanks for best wishes everyone.

I've done the math and with loss of no claims, £250.00 excess and future insurance costs, It doesn't make a claim worthwhile. Guess I'll just have to take the financial hit and take advantage of falling values Wink.

So here's the good news, got a couple of Scorp's to look at today, I'll keep you informed.

I'm as stiff as a board today, but still congratulating myself on emerging with clean underwear Shocked

Best wishes

Geoff,
Gald you came out of that in one piece.
Did the traction control kick in?
Hope you manage to find a good Scorp. The one above on Ebay looks in decent condition and it appears to have the reversing sensors fitted as well.

Never noticed the traction control, too busy watching the world revolve around me Grin

I'm watching the above Scorp, thanks for the heads up Mr_F!

Saw 2 today:

1) a filthy and shabby '96 2.3 Ghia with 72K on the clock, which smelt like someone had kept their cat in it.

2) a white 2.0 8v Executive, manual, 61K, FSH spots of rust on the rear wheel arches, made worse by the white paint.  Gotta confess the poverty spec' was the real reason for not doing a deal.

I have to say the Ultima has spoiled me.
