alas we loose another scorpio, a facelift cossie at that, happened on the way to work this morning, back end stepped out entering an island and bounced off the outside kerb, which then sent it accross the dual carriage way, over the center kerb style reservation and was stopped by a sign post. the front of the car sticking out into the fast lane of the oncoming traffic, luckily never hit any one esle but the scorpio took a bloody beating, cant see it on these pics but the rear wheel flaps about so summat there has broken Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

not hurt though and i plan to bring her back to life, just need a sound saloon body shell, nude, nude, wink, wink

this shows how much the body has caved in, i can poke my finger through a hole in the C shaped bit and touch the cd changer lol

what i was greeted with inside the boot, ive removed the spare wheel to check the floor plan, hence why u can see it in the pic

last to are shots from where i got it to after the impact

Ouch, at least you were ok Matt, what does it need to fix it? I have a scrap saloon you can have bits off if you need them although I'm in Edinburgh.

I'm sure I could cut you out a rear quarter though and a trailing arm/subframe if you need it

it would be easist to 'reshell' the car, so a stripped car would be great, would need the front wings still as there spot welded on, then just transfer all the cossie stuff onto the donor body, dont have much cash though and dont have transport  Cry

yeah it was, hit a sign post for parcel force at arround 30ish side ways, sent the sign flying, coppers had to close off a lane to retrieve the sign that fell off the post

a couple more pics

not looking so smooth now and thats a strange panel gap

the b****red wheel, it doesnt look as bad in this pic as it does on the car

cheers scorpio man

dont think i'll be taking it to a garage, i dont even want to start imagining the repair bill.

im quite handy arround cars and im favoring buying any saloon with a good body. doesnt matter if it dont run or the doors have fell off, so long as the chasie, rear quarters, sills and front wings and panels are all in the correct shape, i'll just swap bits and make me a new cossie Grin.i assume id have to have the car sva checked then and have the chassie number changed on the v5. then save up for a full respray

Oh No.... not another one... and its silver too... Sorry to see the damage Matt. I have a complete 2.3 car in State Blue and its a facelift. Just needs a front and rear bumper. If you want it, let me know. I am in Warrington

The body is pretty sound and no bad dents... although it may need a bit of a polish!

Matt,

not sure although I would imagine that the chasis is the same and if the mounts are different the fixing positions will still be there. I will have a look on the ford thingy later.

Danny.... no you can't have it.... go and get yourself a Caddy!!

(Hope you are well, drop me a line sometime soon and we can have a natter.... not heard from ur dad either lately. Give him a shove!!)
