well, just got the car back, its now insured, MOT'd and Tax'd for another year  Grin  Grin  Grin
 
many thanks to Highlander, who might well have saved the car from the scrapper ! just needed a steering rack gaitor for its test. driving great, and only a little bit of water getting through to the footwell now  Sad
 
so next.... swap back doors, fix stereo, fit new rear view mirror, new back bumper, 16" alloys on..... lol

yep, the water is coming in from under the battery tray, ecu is out and away from the area. had bodged it for the MOT (battery tray was non-existant, battery not attached), and had put sealant in the two big holes, but i guess not enough !!! [hand me the bigger hammer] alternative is dash out, or live with it....
 
alarm just went off, so i spoke too soon  Huh battery is not losing power when car not alarmed, will see tomorrow if its the PATS thats wet and draining, PATS is wet and just going off on one, or if i have the dreaded bonnet switch syndrome.
