Crash. I think thats the end of my diesel :(

Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry

Alas my poor diesel i think will be written after a little prang with an out of control audi spinning across all 3 lanes which had the m25 jnct 4 shut off for a bit this evening Sad From the pictures below you can probably guess how im feeling at the moment...

Both the wings are bent from where he hit me twice (on the passenger side first then again on the drivers side after he rebounded off the central crash barrier), the bonnet is squashed, and the remains of the bumper are in various sized pieces (most of it in the central reservation!).

I'm guessing it's a write off, the annoying thing is i got my harewood pass through the post this morning!!  Angry

Jesus Matt that's unlucky Cry

It's not only the damage, it's the alignment - you can see where it's pushed the front out of square Sad

hi there

soory to hear that. Cry

it is fix-able though, look at the wack mine took. Sad

all comes down to how much the insurance will pay out to write it off. if it's peanuts, you can make them fix it as it wasn't your fault.

glad you walked away from it, though. Smiley

Sorry to hear that Matt, iits made a mess of it but doesnt look too major though, mainly cosmetic  (probably a write off but fixable)

couple of wings, slam panel, bonnet, lights and a bumper should sort it hopefully.

Andrews took a lot harder shunt than that and he got his sorted out fairly cheaply.

I have a bonnet and a bumper you can have,  I can try and organise getting them down to you if you want them

Mat !!!,  Sad what a mess. Glad you're ok. If as the 'experts' suggest you do go for a repair Bridges Car Breakers at Pease Pottage (Crawley) usually have a couple of Scorps and I'd be more than happy to check out whats around for you. Just ask. Good luck, Mike. Sad

Thanks you for your offers of help, muchly appreciated  Smiley Stuart and Andrew, that would be great, i'll be happy to pay for any costs involved getting bits to me, i'll make it up to Harewood one way or another! although i've just phoned my insurer and they say its a gonner, but i'll be going back to the yard where its been dropped off to have a proper look now i've had some sleep and see if any vital organs have been damaged. Don't worry i'll get it fixed no matter how much duct tape it takes  Wink  Grin

How it happened was i was sitting in the slow lane doing 60mph nice relaxed drive home when all of a sudden i see this gold audi come shooting up the hardshoulder undertaking me. just as he gets ahead he clipped a barrier on the left (protecting the support of a flyover bridge) which flung him into the left side off me dragging me across all 3 lanes. he then hits the barrier in the middle spins and then i hit him again in the side pushing him forward about a bus length.

Even the police said i didnt stand a chance  Sad
Lucky thing was if there had been people in the lanes besides me it could have been much much worse.

The audi was a complete wreck, i got off lightly in comparison:

Strangely neither of our airbags went off, and despite being belted up being of the tall variety i still managed to wack my head on the side pillar which dazed me a bit but i refused to let them get another ambulance over or take me to hospital because i was more worried about my poor car! its strange how the mind of a car nut thinks after his pride and joy has been given a couple of black eyes  Roll Eyes

Surely that's HIM completely in the wrong anyway. I mean what the hell was he doing undertaking you AND (illegally) on the hard shoulder? He obviously hadn't broken down if he passed you at over 60mph.

Main thing is that YOU haven't been hurt. Hit his insurance company for every penny that you can.  Taxis, Hire Car, Lost earnings, Inconvenience, Whiplash, and all the rest.

Glad you're OK. That's the main thing.  Wink

Oh my goodness, what a nightmare and there was nothing you could do stop it, let alone avoid it!. I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt.

It's always the same innit, you try your best to keep something you treasure looking nice and it's always some other Numpty who comes along and totally spoils it for you Sad

Good luck in getting it all fixed up again Smiley

I had the same thing happen to me back in Feb my car (not a scorp) looked the same but i rebuilt it from parts i had donated from a friend off another forum. It's suprising once you get the mangled panels off how little damage there is underneath, once you have got the cosmetic stuff off get a local body shop to check the straightness of the front end get that sorted the rest you can do yourself. I am glad your OK but it plays with your head more than anything for a while, I hope things work out for you.
