Well, we're about to become Scorpless.
Both of them broke down together last week. As soon as they are fixed, they've got to go(2.9 running again but dip beam problem now).  Lovely cars(when they work) but just too temperamental when wife out driving late night 3 times a week. Both just MOT'd and both taxed. Will announce when they are available if anyone interested .
Needed transport fast and bought a Mondeo - R reg, new MOT £440. Quite impressed. Mind you, first day, oil pouring out of autobox up dipstick tube. Thanks to The Old Bearfooter, that problem was immediately identified and sorted. Smiley

for me the love affair is over too!!..with my wife that is..

she can go cos she's rank ugly and welcome to my new addition ..a cossie 24 valver..from ebay....only snag is..i am starting to bottle it a bit cos at least i knew the wife was reliable  and would perform when i needed her to....

My missis told me that she knew why the car was called a scorpio ULTIMATUM!! (silly old heffer) until i pointed out her mistake.

the cossie..well ..lets reserve my judgement from collection point in taunton on friday..until  i get to the driveway in eastbourne...

Good luck with the Mondeo Pat, my wife's had hers for 5 years & it's been 100% reliable in getting her to work & back every day.....although she say's she would rather have a Scorp  Wink

Jaye....I take it that now you've bought a Cossie, then your mates won't take the pee anymore once you leave their beamers standing at the lights  Wink

Thanks, Jonny.
The mondeo seems to be a cracking car and not really that different to the Scorp. I must say the 2.0 Zetec engine is an improvement on the 2.0 DOHC- a lot livelier unless it was because mine wasn't running right. We'll see what it's like with its new loom. But now it won't idle....  Angry Cry Cry

My Scorp wouldn't idle after the battery was disconnected, it takes a little while to "learn" its setting again - did you have the battery off?

Don't think so Dave. Autoleccy did it outside so I wasn't watching.
I'll ask him though - if I can get him to turn up again.
Supposed to be coming back to both cars. Thurs, Fri, Tues, Wed........  Still waiting Sad
