Emailed posts getting lost

I am sure I am missing something easy....
I get emailed posts, like today about a Scorp MOT.
I am told I should not hit reply in the email if I have anything to add, as this goes to 'simplelists' not the site.
So I go to the forum, and cannot find the message or thread-
What am I doing wrong please?

I think you are subscribed to the " list " which is different to the forum ... I am not on the list but others who are I am sure will soon advise.

As Snoopy says it's separate to the forums.
Where were you told not to reply?
You just reply or ask questions as you would with any other email.
Anything you send goes to all members on the simplelist (including yourself).
If you have a question start a new subject, don't just ask an unrelated question in an existing thread.
Oh and if you have more than one email address make sure you use the one registered with the simplelist or it'll come back saying admin will have to check it (or something like that).
