A new car

And not a Scorp I'm afraid..

I bought a black metallic 2001(facelift) BMW 520ti with creme leather interior on thursday. Looks brand new and has only a 100k km on the clock, compared to my scorps almost 300k km.

I love my scorp, but a failing wheelbearing, starting problems, a cracked windshield and finally the airbag warning coming on, made me feel I've had enough.

Don't worry though (or do worry  Wink) I will still be hanging around here.

A BMW in the responsible hands of an ex Scorpio driver isn't a problem......it's BMWs in the hands of ex Fiesta drivers that are the problem  Wink

 ROFL

Be happy I didn't buy a 3 series  Wink

I'm very satisfied with the car so far, and it starts every time unlike the scorp  Smiley

Only thing is that the seats are a tiny step back from the scorp (I had the fully electric leather ones), but the BMW seats are quite good too so not really a huge problem.

It's an estate so it got loads of space, and it's an steptronic auto (I once said I would never buy an auto, but after driving it for a week, I wouldn't be without it). And it got 170bhp, so it's got a fair bit more kick in it than the 2.0 16v scorp.

Oh, and the insurance is cheaper than for the 1995 2.0 scorp  Huh

Your mission if you choose to accept it is to transfer the front electric seats from a Ford Scorpio into a BMW525. Having first re trimmed them in cream leather then sit back and relaaaax.

Nice little project there. Would love to see the pictures on that one!
