Newbie Here!

Good morning everyone!

I'm Dave from Coventry and have just acquired a 2.9 12v Ultima.

She's covered 107k miles and has had the head gaskets replaced recently, there's still some problems with her though, but I'm sure I'll get them sorted in time. Hopefully the nice people here could lend me some advice?  Grin

Owning a Scorpio has been fulfilling a long held dream, although I'm still waiting to be bought back down to Earth!

I'm not sure if I've posted this in the right forum, is there a forum for pictures?

Best Wishes!

Welcome Dave and I'm sure you'll find all the help you need on here or from the members. The only way to post photographs on the site is to 'host' them on a site such as Photobucket and then upload them on here when you wish. There is no specific section for them. Good luck with your new car. Wink

Thanks for the replys guys!

She dumped her oil last night/this morning in the garage, so I'm investigating this afternoon, you can't really see anything with the weathershield in place so I'm hoping it's nothing majorly horrid under there! But I'm preparing for the worst like a cracked engine block. Undecided

I'm going to have to replace the partially seized NSF caliper too, which is a nice easy job

Wish me luck!

Is it definitely engine oil?

Scorpios are good at dumping the transmission oil Wink the pipes to the cooler and the cooler itself are all suspects   Grin

It looks, feels and smells like engine oil, plus the sump is empty. I hope it's not too serious, just donning the overalls now and going under!

Cheers Gozz  Smiley

Found the fault, the Oil Pressure Sensor is leaking so it's a replacement job. Having a job removing the old sensor though!
