New kid, well old kid, on the block and I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
I live in Aberdeen for my sins and I have just started building a Viento kit car (Lotus 7 type). I'll be using a Scorpio BOB engine in it hence my interest in all you knowledgeable people.
I've bought a 1998 Scorpio that was on it's way to the scrap yard for the engine and other bits, the rest I will be selling on.
Engine needs a rebuild and I have to fit a manual box to it, should be fun.

Cheers

A Mini, you are a braver man than I am, will it fit? What about a gearbox, are you going to make it FWD? Very interesting.

And thanks everyone for your replies.

Spare XR4i gearbox available if you need one - it has only done a few thousand miles since being rebuilt in 2001, car has been off the road since before Christmas 2001.
Pulling it out of the car next week.
Also have another including bellhousing which has been stripped for inspection.

Hi Mike

I would be interested in the 4X4 box, I would also be interested in another MT75 to make a V6 box out of.
I would be even more interested in an already converted box.

Colin,

It's a Type 9 2WD XR4i box [ 3-dr 2.8i Sierra XR4i ] not XR4x4

Sorry if that isn't what you are looking for.
