hiya to all..just joined and thought i'd poke my nose in and say hello......after making a trike with my last 2.9 scorpio a couple of years ago ive just taking ownership of my own 1998 ultima scorpio td estate which i dont plan on cutting up.yet..however im a tad dissapointed by the lack of toys on it..no heated seats,no sunroof,no cruise control,it doesnt even seem to have a boot release catch in the front??..without sounding like clarkson it isnt as smooth or executive as i imagined either(could be cause its a diesel)....having said this there is stacks of room in the back.the leather seats are very comfy and it is nice to drive....so i guess i'll be keeping it for quite a while yet before the grinder gets to it......anyway i do love the scorpio as a whole and was wondering if mine is a basic model or if everyones is the same?

sounds like it is executive  executive was the lowest trim version on Scorpio... 
no wonder you're disappointed... it sounds like it has max 10% of the gadgets that were available... :/
anyway it's always possible to add them on your own  happy motoring and welcome.

The Ultima part refers to the trim level not the model.
Doesnt sound like its an Ultima, although if it is a genuine 98 it wont be an Executive either, lowest trim level by then was the Ghia then Ghia X then Ultima.
pm me your reg number and i'll check it, is it an auto?
p.s. the Scorpio never had a boot release in the front

many thanks to all.highlander ive pm you regarding my reg and many thanks in advance...wojtekor i do feel like ive been robbed abit..was expecting loads of things to play with...bit of a let down all in all..will start adding them when i can work out exactly what im missing!!....boatdrinks im sure the head flushing can be arranged if you feel your missing out!.thanks again guys love the site will be an avid user from now on

Yours is a June 97 built Ghia, colour is Cuirass.
So it is the base spec, unusually specified with only electric front windows as all 4 windows were electric as standard from September 96??
So... what are you missing??

CD multichanger?
headlight washers
front foglights

dipping passenger side mirror reversing function?
photochromatic rear view mirror
puddle lights?
reversing sensors
interior map lights
heated from seats
fully electric front seats
memory seat function
