Another Noobie Signing In.

Morning all,

Just saying hi to everyone, as the newest member.
Just picked up my first scorpio, a 1998 2.5TD estate.

Needed a couple of minor things doing, which I've completed over the weekend.
Drives well, a nice upgrade from my last car, a 1995 Peugeot 306 Dturbo  Tongue

Hiya,

2.5TD Ghia.
Only thing I'm suprised it hasn't got is heated mirrors,
as even my old 1988 RS Turbo years ago had them.   Tongue

Nice looking car  Wink

Scorpio logo floormats - a bit posh  Grin

Nice looking alloys - RS 7 spokes by the look of it, don't think I've seen them on a Scorpio before  Cool

I didn't actually plan on buying a scorpio.
I was looking for a 2.5 desiel of some variety, looked at a couple of BMW's 3 & 5 series & a Vauxhall Omega,
but they were a bit out of my price range.

Then the scorpio came up out of the blue.
After selling my Peugeot for £540 I only had to add a tenner to secure the beast  Grin

Fitted my stereo over the weekend, & sorted couple of small problems out, gave it a good clean & it's on the road.
Doing 300 miles a week to work, so seeing what sort of MPG I get.
The Peugeot was doing 50MPG, I know the Scorpio won't but I'm hoping for around 38-40MPG.

When I purchased mine the heated mirrors didn't work, after some lowlife removed them from the car one night I sourced another pair from an FS member, fitted them, and Hey Presto---Heated Mirrors,  so it could be that the mirror elements have failed on yours.

Don't think I even have heated mirrors, as I don't see a switch for them
unless it's wired with the rear window switch as well?

Also, does the estate have the fuel cut off switch in the boot the same as the saloons?
If so, where abouts is it?

hi there

you're correct in thinking the heated mirrors are power from the heated rear screen.

don't think the diesel has a cut off. no reason for it.
