Sounds like a good deal, but it doesn't include tyres, exhaust, wheels, cats or anything that comes under general wear and tear. ............

Yep - i was expecting something about the age of the car too Smiley - im sure there will be something in the small print.

"wear and tear" can be a wiiiiide definition too - say for instance, your scorp failed on front arms, they'd wiggle out of paying claiming they were wear items.  Same goes for anyone with dodgy shox on the back of their estate..... Undecided

From policy document

Quote:
d. Your Vehicle must be no more than 12 years old or have passed 120,000 miles at the start date of this policy;
e. You will not be covered if your next MOT due date is within 90 days of the date you purchased this guarantee.

Looks like most of us are out of luck then, and if you know a costly MOT might be looming and you have a car registered post November 97, best get covered now!

Btw, like the Xpress Service PLUS which is basically the Xpress Service and a bottle of redex and a tin of Wynns oil treatment which are about 5 or 6 quid each and it only costs £25 more (so that's £13 for opening and pouring yeah?)

hi there

sorry, never looked at the small print! Embarassed

in my defence, i was thinking about my type of car, which should (hopefully) be covered, more or less.

Read the T's&C's...
Doesn't cover bodywork corrosion, tyres, cats or anything else that can wear out. Headlights, tail light, carburettor tuning, Engine management and engine sensors ARE covered. Good idea if your plastic inlet manifold is on its last...

Edit

ABS systems are covered too!!!
