Well guys, this is probably next to last posting. Erstwhile Scorp trusty replacement (Rover 623 gsi) blew its head gasket. Scorp had stood for 15 months. Put another battery on and it fired straight up! So, cleaned up discs etc and down to MOT man. Failed on 2 minor items  but the biggie was badly corroded rear cross member. The metal round it wasn't brilliant either and I didn't expect the sills to pass. So all in all, not worth doing. Let's hope Rover head isn't cracked - the Honda engine is prone to it apparently.
It's all been great fun while it lasted. Will say goodbyes after the funeral.

That's a shame.   Always sad to hear of any cars demise.   If it dies be sure to sell it for spares if you can at least someone will be able to use some of the parts.

Its coming to Scotland for spares Wink

I hate seeing them go for scrap complete, I had a guy local to me scrap a 2 litre estate recently despite me offering to match the scrap price :/

You going to keep your eye out for another one Pat?

Erm- No. I'm only just recovering from the joys(?) of running Scorps before the rover came along.
The Rover.....aaaarrrghhh. Engine's scrap.
P100 pickup- tank's leaking. Probably none available. MOT due.  Will be carless in a month.
Can anybody lend me a shilling so I can put my head in the oven? Gas has run out.......

Yes ,Stuart- it is the Sierra P100. Is there anything you CAN'T help with? I don't suppose you know - it's not happened yet!
If you have got one, will you bring it with you and I'll sort out with you when you come for the car.
You're a star, mate.
