MOT passed

Smiley  It's great when all is well with our  Scorps.  A
week and a half ago my '95 2.9 12 valve saloon sailed through  the MOT.  No
advisorys, nothing.  MOT man commented "Nice car" to my  son who took her.
Can't get better than that, so it is a real boost to  read that somebody
else is happy.

Also it is a great pleasure to give the accolades to the members of this
site and the Scorpio site! Without whose help the running and maintenence of
my  Scorpios would never have happened.

Thank you everybody

Yep, well-done.   I have my MOT coming in about six weeks, as always I have a good look at the car, top and bottom to try and second-guess the mate that does the MOT.   I totally agree, without this site and the many members that help with all the different foibles these cars attract, I don't think I'd have be able to have such a great car!   Even the 'Gal' likes it and likes driving it!   I'm trying to persuade her we need a 2.9 12V as a stable-mate.   The Cossie would finish my licence, I'm already an old loon on Motorcycles!   (but NOT a born-again, or recent Biker!)    Cheesy

Thanks for all your comments.  It is a great boost to read them. Cheers  Cool Grin.

Yup I let my 23 year old son drive her.  Have done for aprox 3 years.  I allways have him covered by my Ins.  When he was 18 we got him an old beat up Ford 1.3 automatic which died at Tamworth Services.  Then straight on to the 2.9 V6 12 valve which he loves and takes care of (would not allow his Student mates eat their fish and chips in her  Roll Eyes.  It is an imprssive car for a yung un to have, fast, can be really fast as we take good care to have her in tip top mechanical condition.
The MOT station I use is 11 miles away so I allway give her a good blast on the drive over.  Not speed-wise but rev. wise and I get the Brakes warm as well.  Be carefull with the Brakes though as one can cook them  Roll Eyes (guilty me lud, new pads and discs).

She has done a lot of miles on Mways which she and all Scorpios love  And he looks after the underneath especially the sills.

Stuart, I recon that your MOT men are just plain jealous.  Are their necks tinged green, a slightly Kermitty look with a Miss Piggy expression as they declare yur Scorps "Passed"?  Cool
